Driving to California

So on Sunday I traveled 830.9 miles from Farmington, NM to Carlsbad, CA. I drove the whole 13-ish hours by myself, fueled by caffeine and audio books.  I’m currently listening to the Wheel of Time (which I’ve already read…I’m trying to get ready for the 12th book). I stopped as little as possible, but I did snap a few pictures along the way.

A very obscured Shiprock. The image is blurry because I didn't want to take the time to set up my tripod.

I'm standing near the southern end of a huge Ponderosa forest that extends north past the Grand Canyon, covering much of the Kaibab Plateau.

The view out of the window at the place I'm staying for the summer. Yes, that is the Pacific Ocean.
